Woodbine Mandatory Payouts

We're heading to Woodbine Racetrack this weekend for multiple mandatory payout opportunities. Here's what's happening:

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13 - Jackpot Hi-5 Mandatory Payout Current carryover: $251,746.38

What is a Jackpot Hi-5? Single race bet where you pick the first five finishers in exact order. The jackpot carries over until someone wins, but on mandatory payout days, ALL the money gets paid out even if there's no perfect ticket—shared among closest picks.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14 - Closing Day Triple Mandatory Final racing day of Woodbine's 2025 season means three separate mandatory payouts:

Jackpot Hi-5: Same format as Saturday—pick top 5 finishers in order, one race.

Power Pick 6: Pick the winner of six consecutive races. Must hit all six. Carryover distributes on mandatory days.

Late Pick 5: Pick the winner of five consecutive races in the card's final sequence. Typically races 8-12.

Why Mandatory Payouts Matter: On normal days, if nobody hits the bet perfectly, most of the pool carries over to the next race day. On mandatory payout days, 100% of the pool gets distributed—creating larger payouts and better value opportunities when betting pools are inflated by carryover capital.
